Green Chemistry Laboratory

This laboratory allows the design of “green” technologies for the extraction and synthesis of molecules. The laboratory can perform extractions from various biological matrices, in both solid and liquid states, to obtain products with a very high level of purity and free from toxic residues. The products obtained can be identified and quantified.

Technological equipment

The laboratory uses supercritical fluid extraction systems with carbon dioxide, a Naviglio extractor and a thin film distiller for extractions from various biological matrices, in order to obtain products with a very high degree of purity and free from toxic residues. Various analytical tools (e.g. HPLC, GC-MS) are available for analysis of the processes.
